On Friday, 1 August 2014, in the afternoon at 15:40, in Varėnos district municipality, on the Babriškės–Varėna–Eišiškės national road (kilometre 17.95), a DAF XF 95.430 registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Poland) (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
