On Tuesday, 5 August 2014, in the afternoon at 16:26, in Panevėžio district municipality, Krekenavos town, on Vytauto street near No. 59, a moped rolled over. One person was injured — a 15-year-old passenger of a moped (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of a moped, who failed to choose a safe speed and was driving a vehicle with faults the traffic rules prohibit driving with. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
