On Sunday, 10 August 2014, in the afternoon at 15:20, in Anykščių district municipality, on Liudiškių street, at the junction with K. Ladigos street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and a Kawasaki KLE 500. One person died — a 15-year-old passenger of the Kawasaki (later died from the injuries). Two people were injured — the 15-year-old driver of the Kawasaki (hospitalized, had no driving licence) and the 28-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). Both drivers were sober.
