On Monday, 11 August 2014, in the morning at around 5:00, in Rietavo municipality, Sungailų village, on the Telšiai–Žarėnai–Tverai–Laukuva regional road (kilometre 32.50), a BMW 530 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober.
