On Friday, 8 August 2014, in the evening at 19:39, in Kėdainių district municipality, on J. Basanavičiaus street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Laguna and a BMW 523. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Renault (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.90‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
