On Saturday, 16 August 2014, in the evening at 19:20, in Biržų district municipality, a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.26‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene.
