On Friday, 15 August 2014, in the afternoon at 16:18, in Vilniaus district municipality, Grigaičių village, on Pergalės street near No. 40, at the junction with Geležinkelio street, a Piaggio XRT 600 hit an obstacle. Two people were injured — the 24-year-old driver of the Piaggio (hospitalized) and a 23-year-old passenger of the Piaggio (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Piaggio, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
