On Saturday, 23 August 2014, at night at 0:30, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Dirvupių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 300.30), a Lexus GS 430 hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Lexus (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
