On Friday, 29 August 2014, in the morning at around 9:00, in Utenos district municipality, on the Kupiškis–Utena national road (kilometre 40), a Scania R 124L ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Scania (a citizen of Latvia) (8 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations.
