On Sunday, 31 August 2014, in the morning at 5:53, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 9.34), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 520 and a Nissan Almera. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (4 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
