On Saturday, 6 September 2014, in the afternoon at 15:54, in Klaipėda, on Joniškės street, at the junction with Bangų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vivaro and a Nissan Micra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Opel (a citizen of Ukraine) (4 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction and failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
