On Saturday, 6 September 2014, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on M. K. Čiurlionio street near No. 5, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Mazda Premacy and an Aprilia Mojito 50 Custom. One person was injured — a 21-year-old passenger of the Aprilia (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Mazda (4 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. The 22-year-old driver of the Aprilia had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
