On Thursday, 11 September 2014, in the evening at 21:32, in Šiauliai, on Tilžės street, at the junction with Gluosnių street, a Renault Megane Scenic hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 59-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 68-year-old driver of the Renault (29 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
