On Tuesday, 16 September 2014, in the evening at 18:50, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Perkūnų village, on the Plungė–Vėžaičiai national road (kilometre 32.15), a head-on collision occurred. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Volvo (less than a year of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober.
