On Tuesday, 23 September 2014, in the afternoon at 12:45, in Raseinių district municipality, on Vilniaus street, a MTZ Belarus-80 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 43-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by a 43-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the carriageway in a built-up area outside a crossing where there is a median strip. He was drunk (3.05‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
