On Wednesday, 24 September 2014, in the afternoon at 15:25, in Palanga, on Medvalakio street near No. 8A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Auris and a Volvo XC60. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the Toyota (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He refused a sobriety test and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
