On Sunday, 28 September 2014, at night at 2:11, in Vilnius, on I. Šimulionio street near No. 6, a BMW 325 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.70‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
