On Sunday, 28 September 2014, at night at around 2:00, in Alytus, on Santaikos street near No. 15, a Peugeot 605 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Peugeot (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
