On Thursday, 2 October 2014, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Ateities pl., at the junction with Intako street, a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and an Aprilia Pegaso 650. Two people were injured — the 43-year-old driver of the Aprilia (treated as an outpatient) and a 36-year-old passenger of the Aprilia (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (1 year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
