On Friday, 3 October 2014, in the evening at around 19:00, in Marijampolės municipality, on Jaunimo street near No. 22, at the junction with Draugystės street, a collision with a moped occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Lancer and an Aprilia SR 50. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (26 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
