On Saturday, 4 October 2014, at night at 23:30, in Vilnius, on Baltosios Vokės street, a BMW 530 D hit an obstacle. Two people were injured — the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (severely injured, hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 21-year-old passenger of the BMW (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.41‰ blood alcohol). A 21-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (1.64‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
