On Thursday, 25 September 2014, at night at 3:30, in Kaunas, on Baltų pr. near No. 2, at a pedestrian crossing, a BMW 730 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
