On Saturday, 11 October 2014, in the afternoon at 13:07, in Klaipėda, on Prano Lideikio street, at the junction with H. Manto street, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 34-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed.
