On Thursday, 16 October 2014, in the morning at 7:15, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on Vilniaus street near No. 78, a Honda Civic hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 36-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Honda (a citizen of France) (14 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
