On Saturday, 8 November 2014, at night at 4:11, in Vilnius, on Kalvarijų street near No. 21, at the junction with Lvovo street, a BMW 530 D hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. Two people were injured — a 24-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized) and a 24-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. A 24-year-old pedestrian was drunk (1.23‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
