On Sunday, 9 November 2014, at night at 0:15, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on Gegužės 3-osios street near No. 38, a Fiat Punto hit an obstacle. One person was injured — a 18-year-old passenger of the Fiat (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Fiat, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
