On Tuesday, 11 November 2014, in the evening at 19:10, in Vilnius, on L. Giros street near No. 80, a Mazda 626 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 55-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Mazda (5 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. She fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
