On Friday, 14 November 2014, in the morning at 8:12, in Vilnius, on Drujos street, at the junction with Aušros Vartų street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 and a Toyota Prius. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
