On Thursday, 20 November 2014, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 96.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF XF 95.430 registered in Russia, a Lambert registered in Russia and an Audi A4 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Russia) (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
