On Monday, 17 November 2014, in the afternoon at 16:48, in Kėdainių district municipality, on Lakštingalų street, at the junction with J. Basanavičiaus street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Transporter and a Mitsubishi L 200. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (27 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
