On Friday, 21 November 2014, in the morning at 10:16, in Panevėžys, on J. Basanavičiaus street, at the junction with Algirdo street, an Opel Corsa hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 76-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 70-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Opel (4 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
