On Sunday, 23 November 2014, in the evening at around 18:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on Laisvės al. near No. 1, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Volvo V40. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. She had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
