On Thursday, 4 December 2014, in the evening at 21:14, in Tauragės district municipality, on J. Tumo-Vaižganto street, in a yard, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Carisma and a Peugeot 307. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (11 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
