On Saturday, 13 December 2014, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Palanga, on Druskininkų street near No. 13A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz ML320 and a Renault Laguna. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (14 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
