On Saturday, 13 December 2014, in the afternoon at 15:40, in Šakių district municipality, Mozūriškių village, on the Pilviškiai–Šakiai–Jurbarkas national road (kilometre 41.13), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Seat Ibiza and a Volvo S60. Four people were injured — a 22-year-old passenger of the Volvo (treated as an outpatient), a 56-year-old passenger of the Seat (hospitalized), a 37-year-old passenger of the Seat (treated as an outpatient) and the 23-year-old driver of the Volvo (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Seat (16 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
