Opel Omega hits pedestrians at a crossing on Vytauto g., Garliava
On Friday, 19 December 2014, in the evening at 19:20, in Kauno district municipality, on Vytauto street near No. 105A, an Opel Omega hit two pedestrians at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 16-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 16-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
