On Tuesday, 23 December 2014, in the evening at 21:18, in Klaipėda, on Šilutės pl. near No. 42, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 330D, an Audi A6 registered in Norway and a BMW 320. Three people were injured — a 35-year-old passenger of the BMW 320 (treated as an outpatient), the 29-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt) and the 24-year-old driver of the BMW 320 (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the BMW 330D, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
