On Friday, 2 January 2015, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Molėtų district municipality, on Liepų street near No. 23, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra registered in Germany, a Toyota Avensis and a Mitsubishi Galant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.98‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was raining, it was overcast, a strong wind was blowing, the road surface was wet.
