On Sunday, 4 January 2015, in the evening at 20:40, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Lyda main road (kilometre 28.51), a DAF FT XF105.460 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Belarus) (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
