On Thursday, 8 January 2015, in the evening at 18:20, in Kupiškio district municipality, on the Troškūnai–Sudergis–Subačius regional road (kilometre 22.40), a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a Ford Galaxy and a bicycle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
