On Friday, 9 January 2015, in the afternoon at 14:40, in Kaunas, on K. Petrausko street, at the junction with Perkūno al., a BMW 328 registered in Great Britain hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
