On Saturday, 17 January 2015, in the evening at 19:15, in Kaunas, on Puodžių street near No. 30, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz 208 and a Citroen Xsara Picasso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
