On Sunday, 18 January 2015, in the afternoon at 12:20, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 44.91), an Opel Astra-G-Caravan ran off the road. One person was injured — a 50-year-old driving instructor (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed.
