On Tuesday, 20 January 2015, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kupiškio district municipality, on the Daugpilis–Rokiškis–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 61), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a car and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene.
