On Friday, 23 January 2015, in the morning at 7:30, in Marijampolės municipality, on Kauno street near No. 47, an Opel Astra hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 55-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Opel (5 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
