Unlicensed Volvo driver in crash with Volkswagen on the Marijampolė–Liudvinavas–Krosna road
On Friday, 23 January 2015, in the evening at around 22:00, in Lazdijų district municipality, on the Marijampolė–Liudvinavas–Krosna national road (kilometre 21.40), a collision occurred. The collision involved a Volvo 850 and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volvo, who violated overtaking rules. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
