On Saturday, 24 January 2015, in the afternoon at 14:51, in Vilnius, on Žirmūnų street, at the junction with T. Kosciuškos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda MPV and a Mercedes-Benz E 320 CDI. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Mazda (16 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings, failed to give way when changing direction and failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
