On Monday, 2 February 2015, in the morning at 7:20, in Vilnius, on Geležinio Vilko street near No. 27, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 56-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (43 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
