On Monday, 16 February 2015, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kaunas, on Utenos street near No. 2, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ssang Yong Rexton and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Ssang Yong (23 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.59‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
