On Thursday, 19 February 2015, in the evening at 20:10, in Kauno district municipality, Jaučakių village, on Degalinės street near No. 1, a Mercedes-Benz ML 320 CDI hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.88‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was fog, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
